SAUDI INVESTORS VISIT BAUCHI STATE GOVERNMENT, TOUR YANKARI GAME RESERVE

A delegation of investors from Saudi Arabia has paid a courtesy visit to the Bauchi State Government, where they held discussions with Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed and members of the State Executive Council on investment opportunities across key sectors of the state's economy.

Following the meeting at the Government House in Bauchi on Monday, July 27, 2026, the delegation visited the internationally renowned Yankari Game Reserve to assess its tourism and investment potential. The visit was aimed at exploring opportunities for collaboration that could attract greater international tourism and private investment to the reserve.

The delegation comprised prominent Saudi investors representing the Golden Group, led by Mr. Muhammad Faisal Al-Harbi. They were in Bauchi on an official investment mission to evaluate business opportunities, particularly in the tourism and commercial sectors, with the goal of promoting economic development in the state.

After meeting with Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, the delegation proceeded to Yankari Game Reserve on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. They were received by the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Abdul Hassan, alongside the General Manager of Yankari Game Reserve, Alhaji Muhammed Ladan, who conducted a guided tour of the reserve and provided detailed briefings on its ecological significance, tourism assets, and global reputation.

During the visit, the investors toured several major attractions within the reserve, including the Wikki Warm Springs, the museum, guest accommodation facilities, the solar power station, and other historical and tourism infrastructure.

At the end of the tour, the Saudi investors expressed satisfaction with the enormous tourism and investment potential of Yankari Game Reserve. They noted that the reserve has the capacity to attract tourists and investors from around the world and expressed optimism that the visit would pave the way for a mutually beneficial partnership that would contribute to the economic growth and development of Bauchi State
