Jigawa Hisbah Board Arrests Six for Various Offences During Ramadan

The Jigawa State Hisbah Board has arrested six persons for various offences during the ongoing holy month of Ramadan in Jigawa State.
According to a statement issued by the Secretary of the Board, the arrests were made in different parts of Dutse Local Government Area following alleged violations of Islamic moral codes observed during the fasting period.
The Board stated that acts such as drinking, smoking, adultery, fornication, gambling, and other social vices are prohibited under Islamic teachings, particularly during Ramadan.
It was gathered that one Muslim man was arrested at Home Base Hotel in Dutse while allegedly attempting to sneak out with a Christian woman for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity. He was apprehended by Hisbah operatives during the operation.
In a separate incident, another suspect was arrested at Limawa Quarters in Dutse for allegedly luring a woman into his residence for unlawful sexual activity. The statement added that the woman was found naked in the suspect’s room at the time of the arrest.
Furthermore, two other individuals were apprehended for allegedly smoking cigarettes publicly in broad daylight at Yalwawa Quarters in Dutse.
The Hisbah Board reiterated its commitment to enforcing moral discipline and ensuring compliance with Islamic principles throughout the Ramadan period.
The suspects are expected to face further investigation and appropriate action in accordance with the Board’s regulations.
The suspect ware handed over to police for prosecution and will soon be taken to court to received what they saw which will save as deterrent to others
