29 LAW STUDENTS ASSISTED WITH LAP TOP BY SCHOLARSHIP BOARD

The Jigawa State Government has distributed laptop computers to 29 law graduates for the 2024/2025 academic session who are set to be called to the Bar, as part of efforts to enhance their academic performance.

Presenting the laptops to the beneficiaries in his office, the Executive Secretary of the Jigawa State Scholarship Board, Malam Saidu Magaji, said the gesture was part of the present administration’s commitment in supporting Jigawa state indigenous in their academic pursuits.


Malam Saidu Magaji disclosed that the state government has spent the sum of ₦14,030.200.00 on the procurement of the laptop computers. 


He added that an additional ₦14,388,669k was paid by the government to cover registration fees and bursary allowances for the 29 law students of the 2024/2025 academic session. 


The beneficiaries are graduates of various universities across the country.


The Executive Secretary further stated that the initiative reflects the commitment and determination of this administration of Governor Malam Umar Namadi to support Jigawa indigene I in their educational pursuits, with the aim of improving their livelihoods.


He also commended the Commissioner for Higher Education, Science and Technology, Professor Isa Yusuf Chamo, for his tireless efforts and dedication to ensuring that students of Jigawa State benefit from government educational initiatives.


Malam Saidu Magaji urged the beneficiaries to utilize the laptops judiciously for the intended purpose and assured them of the continuous support of the present administration towards improving the academic careers of Jigawa State students
